The pandemic has exposed inequalities facing our community…that are unlikely to disappear any time soon
COVID-19 did not create structural inequalities in our society. But it is exploiting them.
A gift to the Chinook Fund today will not help with the immediate crisis. All gifts to the Chinook Fund go to our endowment fund with the Calgary Foundation. But a gift today will help your community tomorrow. And there will be a need in our community tomorrow.
COVID-19 has reminded us that despite all the progress that has been made for the LGBTQ+ community…there is more to be done.
We have an obligation to look after our own
We are the only LGBTQ+ endowment in Calgary that supports LGBTQ+ organizations. We need to serve and protect our community.
Those who can give have an obligation to do so because many cannot.
It is tough to give when everything is so uncertain, but you giving now makes things a little less uncertain for others.
Our ask is for you to consider matching your gift last year, or increase it, if possible.
With another $50,000 in donations this year we will have over $600,000 by year-end and be able to grant nearly $25,000 in 2021.
